Open the door to our pastry and chocolate store in the Plainpalais quarter of Geneva, and you will find a relaxed atmosphere in authentic surroundings. Come and enjoy our tea room, an old space where the cakes use to be baked. The emphasis is on the quality of sophisticated food. Everything from pastries to sandwiches, including chocolates and ice creams, are made with the best ingredients, mostly of local and nature friendly provenance. We use original and tasty recipes born from our experience and expertise. Everything is freshly made in our own kitchen just around the corner. With our tailor-made services, you can extend your Berger – de Faletans experience. Contact us about special orders: a chocolate box as a gift for a work venue, tiered cake, wedding cake, canapés, surprise bread or savoury appetizers.
We have one goal in common – to enhance your culinary experience. We create sweet and savoury delights to please the eye, the soul and the mind as well as the taste buds.
Our pastry shop and tea room is the result of a well-balanced mix of hard work and outstanding talent in everyone’s respective area: The Argentine Pilar Ricciardi; her husband the Swiss Christophe Berger; Arnaud de Faletans, the French and his wife Mirjami de Faletans, the Finn.
Furthermore, we would like to mention our enthusiastic team doing their best every day to improve the quality of our products and service. They are indispensable for us – and for you.
Every day we propose a selection of different individual pastries as well as cakes.
Even though the pastry selection is ever-changing and varies according to the time of year, there are certain things that stick; the classics.
Just to name a few: Chocolate éclair 70%, Strawberry and lychee macaron and Reconstructed Tarte Tatin can be found in the vitrine daily.
Do not hesitate to ask us more about special orders for birthdays, weddings or any other event.
In our store you find various flavours of filled chocolate candies. They can be wrapped in a colourful retro design box, especially designed for our chocolates.
We also have tasty filled chocolate bars in addition to bars of chocolate from different origins.
And let’s not forget our seasonal moulded chocolates or chocolate sculptures for those special festive moments: Christmas, Easter, Valentin’s day or tailor-made order for your event.
Sit down for lunch or takeaway fresh and tasty salads, soup of the day, quiches or sandwiches from our large and varied selection.
We serve lunch between noon and 2 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
We also bake special breads daily in our bakery.
You can find it all – from classics like croissants, brioches, raisin rolls, chocolate or almond filled croissants.
To more special seasonal ones like cuchaules, chocolate chips brioches or cookies, pignons, kouglofs or scones.
If you would like to relax and enjoy an afternoon tea, we offer a set menu with a tea of your choice, a scone, butter and home-made jam.
Mango and passion fruit sorbet, dark chocolate ice cream, or caramel ice cream with brownies - with us, you can enjoy ice creams, sorbets and frozen desserts all year round.
All flavours are served in individual portion or in larger cup if you wish to share.
